It’s like being a “little” pregnant.

You either ARE or you’re NOT.

I’m pretty adept at solving problems.
I AM ADEPT AT SOLVING PROBLEMS.

I’m pretty good with people.
I AM VERY GOOD WORKING WITH PEOPLE.

I’m pretty laid-back.

I AM LAID-BACK.

Take the word PRETTY out of your vocabulary when describing what you can or cannot do.
